Biography
Dr Zaimin Wang is a Senior Research Fellow with the Centre for Chronic Disease, UQCCR, The University of Queensland, where he has been engaged in Australian Indigenous health research with Professor Wendy Hoy since 2006. Dr Wang completed his PhD at Queensland University of Technology and his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Shanghai Medical University in China. He was an NHMRC Post-Doctoral Research Fellow between 2006 and 2009. He has been Chief Investigator and Co-investigator in a number of successful research grants and has been a Reader and Chair of review committees for postgraduate students.
Dr Wang has been a member of the NHMRC Chronic Kidney Disease Centre of Research Excellence (CKD.CRE) team since 2015 as an epidemiologist and biostatistician. His roles include CKD registry data management, statistical analysis, report and manuscript writing, assisting with and participating in research grants applications, and training and supervising research higher degree students.
