Biography

Dr Lena Succar is a fifth year Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Prince of Wales Clinical School University of New South Wales, headed by Professor Zoltan Endre. Lena holds a PhD titled “the mTOR signalling pathway in crescentic glomerulonephritis” from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney Centre for Renal Research, Westmead Millennium Institute. She has extensive laboratory experience especially in rodent animal models of kidney injury and has presented her research at the ANZSN, ASN and the World Congress of Nephrology meetings. Lena is a passionate renal researcher and has particular interest in the mechanisms of CKD. Her current research is centred on biomarkers of acute on chronic kidney injury.
